We know these are challenging, difficult, and unexpected times. To that end, we’re introducing new safety precautions for the VanGo platform for the health and safety of everyone involved.
These safety precautions are guided by official recommendations from the CDC as well as local health authorities to promote the health and safety of families, drivers, and riders. Our goal is to continue to be a resource for families in our community in a safe way.
Safety Precautions for Families + Riders
We ask that families and passengers take the following safety precautions:
Please wear a mask or face covering for the duration of your ride
Sit in the back seat, with a maximum of three passengers per ride
If you or anyone in your family is feeling sick, please do not use the service for the safety of yourself and others
Cancellation fees will be waived if a passenger or family feels sick or unsafe - you can reach out to our team to let us know, and cancel at any time
Safety Precautions for Drivers
In accordance with the CDC, drivers on our platform agree to take the following safety precautions:
Wear a mask for the duration of their ride
Disinfect frequently touched areas in their vehicle after every trip
Enforce social distancing by only allowing passengers to sit in the back (with a maximum of 3 passengers per ride)
Keep windows open slightly for better ventilation
Install plastic dividers in their vehicle to ensure social distancing for the start of the school year
To make sure that drivers have the supplies they need for every ride, VanGo will provide or reimburse drivers with the following:
Protective plastic dividers for the start of the school year
We appreciate your support and understanding in following these safety precautions for the safety and health of everyone involved.
